The Visual Arts Society are delighted to announce the first ever exhibition...

...of artworks by the staff and students of Trinity College Dublin is to take place from the 8th of December 09 to the 10th December 09!!!

The fact that many a budding artist actually exists in Trinity is constantly overlooked and ignored.
Well after this, that definitely won't be the case! This is your chance to get your work out there, whether exhibiting is something you're new to, or an old hand at.
 
The exhibition will be held in the Oisin Gallery on Westland Row.
This is fantastic as, as I'm sure many of you know, it's a fully established, and very successful, commercial gallery.
This is an amazing opportunity to show your work somewhere like this! It will take the  same format as a professional exhibition with an opening night and the work shown to the public (not just students) for the following two days!
 
If you're interested, and this goes for staff as well as students, you need to email us with details of your work by NOVEMBER 20TH at visarts@csc.tcd.ie .
In this email you MUST INCLUDE:
Name
Year
Course
Title of the work
Materials used
Dimensions
An explanation or note on the work (if you so wish)
Price (if you want the work to be declared as for sale)
Photo of the piece
 
All these elements must be included unless ortherwise stated as, in the case of an excess of submissions, a selection process will be necessary.
As it stands, there is no restriction on what can or cannot be show, although if it is a video piece or short film, you must provide the tools to show it yourself (tv or whatever!). If a selection process is necessary, dimensions obviously will be important, as we want to show as many pieces as possible (bear that in mind too if submitting work in a series, photos or the like).
 
This really is going to be a majorly fantastic event that should include a great cross-section of students and departments.

Membership of the society is not necessary to submit works by email. If you yourself are interested, get in touch, or tell your mates!
