THE GMB
The Graduates Memorial Building is one of the finest Victorian neo-gothic building in Ireland. The exaggerated proportions of the facade and the ornately carved stonework make it stand out amongst the reserved classical architecture that characterizes the remainder of Front Square.
On the first floor, you will find the Conversation Room, with its couches, tables and commanding view of Front Square. The next door is the Hist Committee Room, where the hard-working men and women on committee do their work.
Up on the second floor, through the double doors are found the snooker rooms. There are six tables here, and our members can play for a ridiculously cheap sum. Equipment is of course provided, and the supervisor is there to sort out any problems.T
The top floor of the GMB houses a computer room, with 35 computers, and the Hist's library, which contains part of our collection of books and manuscripts, and is an ideal place to study.
