Online Grant Application System

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SOCIETY OFFICERS

The Central Societies Committee covers many of the running costs and some of the capital costs of its 90 or so recognised societies. We also provide mailing, telephone, fax, e-mail, photocopier and computer services for society business.

To apply for a grant:

• Get a username and password for the online grant application system from the CSC office
• Log in and create a new grant application for your society
• When you have completed the grant application, submit it and it will be forwarded to the CSC for consideration. You will receive an email asking you to come to the CSC office to sign a copy of the grant app

This must be done before the end of Michaelmas Term 2010, we recommend that it is submitted by 5th November 2010. After applying for a grant you will be given an appointment to come and discuss your application with the Executive before they make a decision. You may call to the office later to ascertain your allocation and it will be communicated to you in an email Your society will receive money only on foot of receipts submitted  before August 30th.

Accounts for the year 1st March 2010 - 28th February 2011 must be submitted before 30th June 2011. If gross misappropriation or gross financial incompetence has occurred, the CSC has the power to ask College to prevent registration by, and to withhold degrees from the persons responsible until the deficit incurred is made good.

If you have any difficulty with any aspect of the grant application, or if you have queries about society business in general, or even if you would just like to get in touch with other societies, drop into the office any weekday.

• Grant applications must be submitted before the end of Michaelmas Term.
• No grant application can be considered until last year's accounts and Secretary's report have been submitted.
• Before your grant application can be considered, you must have met with the CSC Treasurer.
• As far as possible, apply for all your needs for the full year, on this form.
• Supplementary Grant Applications will be considered for unforeseen expenditure.
• Please ensure that the information you provide on this form is accurate and up-to-date.
• The CSC will not give financial aid to any fund-raising ventures.

Do not complete this form without first reading the Grants Policy Document in full. Section 9, in particular, should be consulted before filling in each part - it clarifies the CSC granting policy on each of the sections which appear on this form.
