Hey I'm Holly, Secretary to the Central Societies Committee. My role as Secretary is to deal with any societies seeking recognition and any issues with constitutions societies may have. I have been involved with the University of Dublin Choral Society for the past three years, joining the committee just a few weeks into Michaelmas Term 2008.
I was honoured last year to be elected to the position of Secretary of the Choral Society, which encumbrances the entire organisation of the committee, the society and its concerts.
I was a member of the CSC excutive committee 2010/11 and throughly enjoyed meeting all the dedicated officers of all the societies. Societies in Trinity are key to the college experience, and they are present from the very first day of Freshers week. Societies is the most useful way to meet people with whom you share a common interest, or to develop new skills. I look forward to aiding and assisting exsisting and new societies throughout the yearI am happy to discuss any questions or issues you may have, please don't hesitate to contact me.

The Secretary's chief responsibility is to liase with students who wish to establish new societies. The Secretary can advise prospective societies on writing a constitution, and makes recommendations to the Executive on the recognition of new societies.
According to the CSC constitution the responsibilities of the Secretary are as follows:
*The preparation of agendas and minutes for meetings of the Committee and Executive.
*The keeping and proper archiving of the Committee's records.
*The general correspondence of the Committee.
*The legal affairs of the Committee.
*The constitutional affairs of the Committee and of societies.
*Making recommendations to the Executive regarding provisional recognitions of societies.
*All C.S.C. Publications.
*Represent the Committee on any national Student Society Organisation to which it may affiliate.
