Biosoc (short for Dublin University Biological Association) is Trinity's medical society. Founded in 1874, we encourage interest in medicine and healthcare within College, and increase the interaction between students of medicine and other medical sciences and the wider community.
We have regular social events throughout the year which cater for the wide range of cultural diversity in medicine and the rest of the College. We help with organising the Trinity Student Medical Journal and the student-run medical charity MOVE (Medical Overseas Voluntary Electives). Every Michaelmas term we organise Med Day,a huge fundraising day for medically-related causes with events for the whole of College to enjoy. We also organise talks from guest speakers, book sales, discussions, a Christmas trip, the landmark Med Ball and our annual Inaugural Ball. This year brings the Tercentenary of the School of Medicine, which Biosoc will be marking and celebrating throughout the year.
