"Dublin University Comedy Society is the student run Comedy Society for Trinity College Dublin. The society's aim is to foster an appreciation for all things comic and it is the largest student comedy society in the country.
This is achieved through high profile gigs with Ireland's top performers and innovative workshops offering our members the opportunity to develop their own skills in comedy performance and organisation."Goldfish", Trinity's only satirical magazine is also produced by Comedy Soc. In the last two years, the society have had scouts over in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to spot great U.K. talent that Trinity deserves to see. Fringe 09 saw the society confirm the return of Pappy’s Fun Club as well being asked to be the Dublin host for Frisky and Mannish, a huge twisted pop cabaret group from London who took the Fringe by storm.
The society has worked back from the dormant years prior to 2007 to become one of the largest societies on campus during 2009. The interest from members, as well as a hard working committee sees the society taking important steps in the future, developing it's range of comedy covered and rebuilding bridges the society had in the past, one being with "Cambridge Footlights".
The DU Comedy Society were winners of the Best Large Society 2009
