Afro-Caribbean

The Afro-Caribbean Society aim to promote diversity on campus and to facilitate a forum for education about African and Caribbean cultures.

The Afro-Caribbean Society organise drumming, dancing and cookery classes, which have been very popular with all students. They have been sucessful in promoting diversity on campus through the hosting of visiting speakers, debates and social events. 

The society aims to;

  •  provide a forum whereby students of the college can be enlightened about the presence of Afro-Caribbean students at Trinity.
  • organise activities and events that educate the student body about the rich and diverse Afro-Caribbean culture.
  • contribute to international student events and provide a means for international students to meet and communicate with each other.
  • act as point of contact between the college and members on issues affecting the interests of international students.

             The Afro-Caribbean Society won the award for Best Overall Society during their first year, 2006.
