The Hist is the world’s oldest student society and has been both a forum for discourse and a cornerstone of college life since 1770. Continuing the legacy of past members such as Wolfe Tone, Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde, the Hist attracts a variety of prominent guest speakers including, in recent years, Noam Chomsky, Desmond Tutu, Margrethe Vestager and Margaret Atwood.
