We’re Hiring – Iondaí na Gaeilge
Dear Society Officers,
The Central Societies Committee (CSC) is recruiting a part-time Iondaí na Gaeilge / Irish Language Assistant to support bilingual communications and bolster the visibility of Irish across societies.
Duties of the Role
- Translate social posts, graphics and other digital content for CSC platforms, and support societies who want to incorporate Irish in their own materials.
- Chair Rannóg an Aistriúcháin (the CSC’s upcoming internal translation unit) with the support of the CSC Chairperson.
- Help develop a CSC translation strategy and contribute to an Irish Language Policy; collaborate with Tech and Comms assistants so digital content appears in Irish wherever possible.
- Support the CSC Chairperson in collaborating with the TCDSU-AMLCT Oifigeach na Gaeilge to increase the use and visibility of Irish on campus.
Hours & Pay
- Up to ~6 hours per week across ~16 weeks during the academic year; hours are flexible and agreed around academic commitments.
- €15 per hour.
- Base location is the CSC Office (Teach 6, Front Square); some remote work may be possible depending on business needs.
